If the builder remains committed to moving forward with a high density project, neighbors suggested splitting the lot to construct single-family homes instead, as this option would have a lesser impact on the community while still offering substantial profitability for the builder.
With support from the city manager's office, over 100 families gathered at Faria Elementary School to meet with the builder and urge him to reconsider his proposal and its impact on the school and neighborhood. Many senior residents stood for over an hour to voice their concerns. The builder promised to take their feedback into consideration.

During the second meeting between the builder and local residents, City Councilmember Chao Liang attended and provided context on SB 330 and the Builder’s Remedy, explaining that while these policies have been in place for years, they have rarely been seen in neighborhoods like this. She encouraged the builder to take the community’s concerns into account and approach the project with a spirit of collaboration, aiming to create a development that respects the neighborhood’s character and addresses residents' feedback.
